GRAMMAR SCHOOL
Kindergarten (Mrs. Rivera and Miss Burdeshaw)
This Week
- Our kindergarten scholars have officially finished kindergarten! We are so proud of how hard they have worked this school year. We spent this week reviewing different math concepts, finishing up our human body projects, and spent some time reading as well. The students were very excited to participate in our bible bee on Wednesday! They did a great job on their verses. We also had our very anticipated field day, which was a fun and enjoyable experience to end the school year with. As this academic year has drawn to a close, we praise God for his faithfulness and for the wonderful students we have had. We hope you all have a sweet and restful summer break!
Memory Work:
- Enjoy your summer break!
1st Grade (Mrs. Cantaffa & Mrs. Smith)
This Week
- What a joyful way to wrap up the school year! This week, students spent time cleaning out desks, organizing supplies, and taking home their belongings as we prepared our classroom for summer. We continued reading in history, reviewing the people and events we’ve learned about throughout the year. The students also participated in our annual Bible Bee, where they did a wonderful job reciting verses and celebrating God’s Word. We ended the week with a fun-filled Field Day on Friday—a half day packed with games, laughter, and sunshine! It has been such a blessing to learn and grow together this year. Thank you for a fantastic year in first grade!
2nd Grade (Mrs. Hedgecock & Mrs. Eng)
This Week
- The second graders continued to learn and make memories this last week of the 2024-2025 school year. They marvel at how far they have come since August. We enjoyed reviewing what we have learned this year as the students completed their “Memory Book”. Please encourage them to read, read and then read some more this summer. It has been a joy to be a part of your student’s life this past year. Each of them is a true blessing and we pray God’s best for each of them. We will enjoy watching them grow and develop in the years to come. Have a great summer!
3rd Grade (Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Meredith)
This Week
- We had a wonderful final week together in 3rd grade! Students competed in the annual Bible bee, cleaned out their folders and desks, packed up the classroom, wrote and performed in a play about The Odyssey, and acted as emperors and tried to stop the fall of Rome. We soaked up every last minute. They enjoyed a jam packed field day and are ready to start an adventurous summer! Thank you for an amazing year, parents! We will miss each one of your students, but look forward to seeing all they accomplish!
4th Grade (Mrs. McDorman and Mrs. Rankin)
This Week
- Our final week of fourth grade was filled with meaningful moments, fun, and reflection. We spent a day enjoying trivia and games, testing our knowledge and celebrating the year’s learning. We also took time to review our memory verses and participated in the Bible Bee, writing God’s Word on our hearts. As good stewards of what God has given us, we cleaned our classroom and desks, preparing the space for the next group of fourth graders. It was a time of both looking back with gratitude and looking forward with excitement. We listened to the final autobiographies of our classmates, learning more about each other’s journeys and stories.. Our week ended with the grand finale of Field Day—a celebration of hard work. As we close this chapter, may we remain grateful for the many blessings we’ve received this year and carry that gratitude with us into the next. Enjoy the summer! Soli Deo Gloria – To God alone be the glory.
Upcoming:
- SUMMER!
LOGIC SCHOOL
Mrs. Bennington
5th-10th Band
- We had a good discussion in each class about the progress that we have made this year and the growth from the winter concert to the spring concert. We also discussed areas for growth for next year and what the students would like to accomplish as musicians. The students have grown so much as individuals and as ensembles. The students also enjoyed a small treat as a thank you for all of their hard work at the Spring Concert. We closed the school year with the playing of a few fun songs. Students were able to demonstrate how well they could sight read a few new pieces of music. The Band students have worked so hard this year and grown so much. I am so thankful for each student and I am looking forward to teaching each student again next year. I pray that all of you have a restful, relaxing, and fun summer.
Mrs. Johnston
